Clifton (Without) and RawcliffeAllotmentsAssociation Committee Meeting 6.30pm 25/4/23 (Mitre Pub)

1) Apologies for absence Robin, Les, Stuart, Nigel

2) Present - Mark (Chair), Dorothy, Tony, Brenda, Michael, Geoff

3) Minutes of last meeting – accepted as correct

4) Matters arising – it was suggested that people who had produce stolen should report it to ensure we get a complete view of where/when the issue occurs

5) Secretary’s report – The Dean’s discount card has been renewed. Currently the contractor for the electrical cable cannot give a date for the work, nor advise on the scale of the disruption.

6) Treasurer’s report - Cash holdings on 25/04/23 - £149.65 plus £134 received from the rental of new plots after associated expenses deducted. This has now been paid into the bank leading to: Current account £1,000.00 Savings account £17,253.37

7) Lettings Officer’s report – all plots are now let. There are 35 people on the waiting list. The committee thanked Brenda for her work and the outcomes achieved.

8) Plot inspections – the following dates were agreed: Monday 15th May at 1330. Robin, Brenda and Michael. Monday 12th June at 1330. Robin, Brenda and Geoff. There will be an item on plot inspections at the next meeting, which will be held on Tuesday 27th June at the allotments. This will include application of current rules on storage of items or materials on allotments, with a view to tightening rules where necessary.

9) AGM – Tuesday September 5/9/23 6.30pm in the car park at allotments (Dated changed since minutes were taken)

10) Any other business – when the notice board is available again information will be posted on who to contact regarding donating surplus produce to food banks and church groups. Action: Brenda

There will be a plant swap day on 28th May, at the allotments Next time someone is pruning the hedge (Les?) the ivy on the post on the left-hand side as you drive onto the allotments could do with a trim.
